Daily Rountine Followed At The Vedapadasala

  •   On line with the vedic brahma mugurtham the pada sala students are         awake by 4 am. At 4.30 am after personal cleaning and showering day  start with the chanting of shiva Agamas.
  • At 6 am rituals like “sandiya vandanam””sun salutation” and “samithadharam” which is an environmental cleansing ritual is performed.
  • At 8 am the vinayaka deity at the campus shrine is worshiped with “abishekam” which is powering of water or other sacred substance while chanting mantras.
  • Vedas mention that all the thirty three core Devas including the trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva have their abode in the cow. Gho Pooja is not only auspicious it wipes out all curses and sins. Gho pooja is performed every single day at the veda pada sala soon after Vinayaka worship.
  • At 8, quarter past 8 am Rudram and Chamakam are chanted in groups.
  • At 9 am the school routine starts with a prayer song followed by a hymn devoted to the beautiful tamil language and the National Anthem. Till 12 noon classes and deliberations on Vedas is scheduled.
  • At noon the students perform Brahma Yajna and other rituals, which in a part of Nitya karma or daily vedic rituals.
  • On Sundays Aditya thridayam chanting is practiced dedicating to the Sun God. It builds courage, confidence to overcome one’s problems and adds a divine aura around the person.
  • Between 2 pm to 4.30 pm the veda pada sala students chart and memorize the Vedas as prescribed and practiced for generations.
  • For an hour between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm students play games like cricket, volley ball, chess, tennis or carom board. Some prefer to follow their individuals physical exercise routine on s daily basis.
  • At 6 pm the students assemble for their evening Sun Salutations, The hour is spent on learning and reciting the 1000 names of various Hindu duties.

General Activities And Practices

  • Since the veda pada sala is set up along with Go sala and farmland , students are encouraged and taught organic farming.
  • Students from the higher grades are taken out by the     faculty priests for ceremonies like Kumbabishekam, a       temple ritual which homogenize all the mystic powers of the   deity. The consecration ceremony has about 224 Kryas,   which are exposed systematically to the learning priests.
  •  Our school reaches out to ‘Thiruvadisulam’ a divine Dhakti    temple and every year during the Navaeatri days the students assist the senior presents to perform the ‘Chanti Yagam’. ‘Devi Mahatmyam’ which is glorified in vedas, the sacred text with 700 verses arranged in 13 chapters is considered the most elaborate and powerful yagam.
  • Temple trust in Andhra on yearly basis conducts “Adi Rudhra Maha Yaya” “Chaturlasha Mahayaga””sadhachandhi Maha Yaga””SriVidya Navavarara Pooja” and chosen students from our veda pada sala participate in them.
  • Lord Brahma worshiped Sri Balaji for blessing the souls and uplifting mankind. Ever since Brahmotsara is celebrated for 9 days in all Vaishnava temples. Our students part take and conduct Brahmotsara year after year in ‘thiruvalansuzhi’ an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu Balaji.
  • The higher grade students on yearly basis go to ‘ThirupaiNeeli’ temple to perform the daily rituals   Naimithidam, Kamya Pooja and fire sacrifices.
  • Students who have completed six years at the vedic school are tested on various parameters and awards are distributed along with medals and certificates.
  • Our students have participated and won medals in competitions and tests conducted by various religious musts and vedic educational institutions.
  • Our students are strained to converse fluently in Sanskrit , Hindi and English.
  • New Year, AvaniAvitam, Navrathri, Diwali Sharkranthi and all other hindu religious festivals are celebrated in the school.
Sundays Sri Subramanya Sahasranamam, which is learning and internalizing the 1000 names of Lord Subramanya, the divine son of Lord Shiva.
Mondays Sri Shiva Sahasranamam is learnt and practiced.
Tuesday Sri Durga sarasranamam is chanted
Wedensday Sri Vinayaka Sarasranamam is learnt
Thursday Sri Dahshinamarthy Sahasranamam
Fridays Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam
Saturday Sri Vishu Sahasranam is practiced Renounced slokas like Devi Mahatmiyam, Kanakadara sostram, Indirakshi Shivagavasam, Shyamala Dantakam and the Astra tapas are taught and learnt through recitation.
