On a monthly basis students are exposed to Carnatic music, as it is the basic structure for rhythm, synchrony and beat for all oral traditions. On general holidays students are engaged with debates and discussion on general affairs and news. There are discourse by exports on 18 Hindu puranas. Lectures and workshops are conducted on the life and works of the 63 Nayanmars who authored the Thevaram. Care is taken that on any general or National holidays at least 4 hours in a day is dedicated to structured knowledge sharing.
As a part of welfare scheme, our trust initiates people and this program is called the ‘Shiva Diksha’. A spiritual guru alone can take a person beyond intelligence to the realm of transcendental reality.000
On line with the vedic brahma mugurtham the pada sala students are awake by 4 am. At 4.30 am after personal cleaning and showering day start with the chanting of shiva Agamas.
At 6 am rituals like “sandiya vandanam””sun salutation” and “samithadharam” which is an environmental cleansing ritual is performed.
At 8 am the vinayaka deity at the campus shrine is worshiped with “abishekam” which is powering of water or other sacred substance while chanting mantras.
Vedas mention that all the thirty three core Devas including the trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva have their abode in the cow. Gho Pooja is not only auspicious it wipes out all curses and sins. Gho pooja is performed every single day at the veda pada sala soon after Vinayaka worship.
